Under the Apple Tree

Under the Apple Tree

Melissa Blue Fine Art

One of my favorite things in spring is when the crabapples burst into bloom. I wish it could last forever! When my neighbor’s tree is done it showers my car with pink petals, like a benediction.

  1. It’s a lovely painting, Melissa. When I was a kid, we had crabapple trees. On a good year, they’d release their petals all at once, and we always called it a petal-blizzard.

Beyond that, I’m old enough to remember this song when it still was playing live on the radio.

    1. Thank you, Linda. I appreciate that. I’m a classic film and music buff, and this was exactly what was running through my head when I chose the title. Thank you for the link ~ I thoroughly enjoyed hearing it again!
